Sick of the snow

I know it's only been about a month of cold weather, snow storms, frosted windows and icey streets BUT I'm already sick of it. I'm already trying to figure out how many times I can go here next year and how soon I can get that tan back :)

BEWARE: Long update ahead

So a little bird told me I haven't updated on anything important for a while so this is me updating those of your that care on what we've been up to lately.
December 2nd: Our anniversary!! We honestly didn't do much that night because Travis had class, had to study for a final and had to work on a final project too :(
December 3rd: We left work around 2pm and headed to Vegas for our anniversary weekend! We got there around 10pm and after driving in circles forever around the Luxor we finally got in and checked in. After finding our room we decided to head down to the casino and hang out. We walked around for about an hour just people watching, putting $1 in a slot every now and then and just enjoying the crazy atmosphere. Well before leaving work that day one of my bosses gave me a $20 and told me to gamble it for him on Rulette so we figured we might as well head over to those tables. So I sat down and played 2 hands (with my bosses $20) and lost it all. Then this guy, Tyler from Canada, comes to our table and he is totally drunk but totally hilarious! He cashes in $100 and the games began! haha we freakin' loved Tyler! He was hilarious! He kept having Travis and I pick where he should lay his money down and telling us we get half of whatever he wins on our number (crazy man...we suck!), then he was like "Addie! Here's $20 in chips, gamble my money and you get half of the winnings!" So I sat down...lost it all in 2 hands. Then the crazy man gave $20 in chips to Travis and told him to do the same. After about 2 hours hanging out at the Roulette table with this guy we had probably gambled $80 of HIS money, and lost all of it! Finally he was getting frustrated and he was like "Trav! We need some drinks! What can I get you!?" And so of course Travis told him we didn't drink and then Tyler yelled, "Trav, I like that! I don't drink either!" He lost his next hand and ordered a Corona! haha this man was awesome! SO now it's like 1:30 in the morning and Travis & Tyler decide to go play Texas Hold Em' together. Travis sits down and hands the dealer his ID (oh and mind you, we've been asked for ID's about 5 times by this point) the dealer looks at us, looks at our ID's, looks at us, looks back at our ID's and says, "Travis, your license is expired. You're not allowed on the casino floor to play or watch. You have to leave right now!" Well sorry Tyler, I guess we've got to go! It sucked! haha
December 4th: well since we can't gamble, Travis can't drive with an expired license, and I hate driving in Vegas, we didn't do much! We walked across the street and went to the aquarium at Mandalay Bay which was awesome! We ate breakfast at IHOP. We drove past the fountains at the Billagio and then went to the vegas outlets. Walked for about 3 hours and decided there was nothing else to do in Vegas so we headed up to St. George. :) We stayed in the nicest hotel! It was new but super cheap! We loved it! We ate dinner, walked around the outlets and just relaxed.
December 5th: More shopping! (thank you to Travis for being so patient) more eating, watched some football games (while I took a nap) and just had a good time. This was our amazing hotel room. Oh so nice!
December 6th: We headed home to reality. :(

Well there was our anniversary weekend in a nut shell...Tyler made our night, the dealer ruined it. :( Oh well it was just so fun to gte away on a vacation with just Travis & I. We haven't done that since our honeymoon and it was really nice.

Besides that we've just been hanging out. Hanging out with family and friends a lot, Christmas shopping (almost done!), and eating way more than we should.

Oh and we went to the Jazz vs. Lakers game!!! IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! I was out of control yelling and jumping and it was just so intense and so fun to be there!! I loved it! Well that's all. I'm sure a xmas post will come soon as well but that'll be after Christmas (obviously!). Merry Christmas!

Is it just me...

Or is everyone feeling a little bit of the holiday scatter brain lately? I swear I can't focus, I'm always tired and it feels like I get nothing done all day long. Is anyone else feeling like this??

1 year anniversary!

I can't believe I've been married to my best friend for a year! This last year has flown by! Somedays I feel like we've been married forever and sometimes I feel like we just got married yesterday. Travis is my perfect match and I'm so glad the Lord led us to each other so we could spend our lives together. He makes me want to be a better person and shares his love with me every single day. I'm so blessed to be in his pressence every day, let alone be able to spend eternity with him. Travis, I love you! Thanks for a wonderful year of marriage and here's to an eternity more of them to come. I can't wait to see what this next year has in store for us.
